It is quite easy how Grunch is scanning for applications. It scanns all partitions and all first level directories on these partitions for "application name / application name". There are currently two exeptions. "Games" and "Applications" are scanned two level deep.

The Problem with ZoomIt is that is has no directory which makes it tricky. I can´t remember if I changed the installer to add a drawer.

If you have changed names or used version information in directory name, then Grunch won´t find it.

Well, it could find it, but updating and the entire process of dealing with it would be far more complicated, so I deceided to keep it this way and force the user a little to keep his harddrive clean.
